Building on the successes achieved thus far, additional funding for Slow Food is crucial to transforming the capacity and sustainability of the movement in the UK. As sustainers of SFUK you will be investing in a proven concept that harnesses the business skills, organisational management and dedication of our convivium leaders to implement Slow Food in their local communities. You will also be investing in the organisation itself -- our national office in Neal's Yard– which is the very core of Slow Food in the UK. Slow Food maximises the impact of every donation by conducting activities for beneficiaries in the area most relevant to their interests.
Membership income covers less than 50% of the annual operating costs of Slow Food UK. Therefore, we rely on the generous support of members of the public and organisations committed to making good, clean and fair food a reality for all. Your support will help us to:
• Protect and preserve the food cultural heritage of the UK and ensure that it has a sustainable future
• Support our local groups' work in their communities, especially in the area of education and engaging young people in food issues
• Connect and empower farming communities in the Terra Madre network through the coordination of regional meetings, providing a chance for discussion, knowledge sharing, inter-generational exchange and community building
• Provide small grants for taste and food education projects around the world (like our Taste Adventure) to help fund school gardens and other initiatives in schools, hospitals and communities to increase awareness on the connection between health, local food culture, agriculture and the environment

We maximize every donation through ‘match-funding’. SFUK can keep your donation anonymous or ‘match’ it either privately or publicly with another like-minded sustainer. We invite you to talk with us about giving to SFUK, including through our matching scheme so that other sustainers of SFUK can match your donation.
